HAWAII LIFTED TERMS & CONDITIONS

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
All drivers must be 25 years of age and present a valid photo driver’s license. We require a picture of the license emailed to us prior to your arrival. All location policies that apply to the renter will also apply. Additional Driver Fees of $5.99/ per day will apply. Maximum of 4 drivers.

AGE
Renter must be 25 years of age with a valid driver’s license and major credit card in his/her own name.

PAYMENT RULES
You may book through our website reservation process using all major credit cards in the checkout process. Payment is immediately charged in full to confirm booking. Reservations canceled within 24hr of booking will be issued a full refund. Reservations canceled after 24hr will be issued a credit to rebook at Hawaii Lifted for any future dates of travel.


DRIVER’S LICENSE
Drivers must have a valid driver’s license at the time of rental. The driver’s license must be valid for the entire rental period.

 International renters require a driver’s license with photo ID on it from your home country of residence, a passport, and a return trip ticket. If the requested information is not in English, then an International Driver’s Permit is required as a means of interpreting your foreign language license. As a foreign driver in the US, you cannot use an International Driver’s Permit all by itself to rent a car.

EARLY RETURN
Vehicles are rented on a daily (24 hour) basis. Any rental of less than 24 hours will be charged a full day’s rate.

EQUIPMENT
Available Equipment for RENT: Child Booster Seat, Beach Chair, Cooler Combo, and Surf Boards are available for rent when the reservation is made 48 hours prior to pickup. All equipment must be returned in same condition it was given.

FUEL
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Secondary option:  You may return the rental full to avoid a charge or we will refuel the vehicle based on the level of the tank. A refueling service fee of $15.99 per gallon will be charged.


INSURANCE
We are a small family run business and rent directly through our website to customers who provide documentation of Full Comprehensive & Collision Coverage as well as Liability Insurance OR you may add to your reservation if you need to purchase Collision & Liability Protection. Some major credit cards may cover Collision for free if you paid with the card, but they usually do not cover Liability. Fortunately most personal auto policies extend Liability &/or Collision Coverage to rental cars at no extra cost! For both your protection and ours, you must have proof of Full Comprehensive and Collision Coverage up to $100k and Liability covering $100k that will cover your rental car in Hawaii. Call your insurance provider to confirm coverage and acquire your Declaration Page. If your insurance only provides the Liability portion but limit is not high enough for the Full Comprehensive and Collision up to $100k you may purchase this through our website.


OPTIONAL PROTECTION PRODUCTS

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)

Accepting waives any responsibility for loss or body damage including Down-time. The waiver may have a deductible for which you are responsible.

 Loss Damage Waiver is not Insurance and is not mandatory. The Loss Damage Waiver can be purchased at the time of booking or time of rental. If the Loss Damage Waiver is not purchased, renter is responsible for all damage to the rented vehicle and will pay a daily Down-time fee until the vehicle is repaired or a total loss is settled.

MILEAGE
Rate comes with 100 miles per day, anything over the total amount allowed will be charged at $0.35 per mile.


CANCELLATION & ADJUSTING TRIPS
You may cancel your reservation up to 72 hours prior to your reservation start date to receive a credit for a future reservation. If you cancel within 72 hour you will be charged a $250 cancellation fee. 


RESERVATION HOLD TIME
If you have a change in travel plans and cannot make it to your scheduled vehicle pick up time and location please contact us ASAP. You may call, text or email us to advise of any changes. We will hold the vehicle for you for 2 hours. If we still haven't heard from you 2 hours after your scheduled trip start time then you will be considered a no-show and we may not be able to honor your reservation if we have other guests waiting. You may also provide us with your flight information so we can track if your flight is running late, rescheduled, etc. If we have your flight information and this is causing your delay then we will hold your vehicle until you arrive. We understand that while in flight to Hawai'i communication is limited.

PETS
Absolutely no non-human living creatures or pets are permitted in our rental vehicles.

SMOKING
All vehicles are non-smoking. If smoking residue, debris or scent is left in the vehicle when you return it you will be incurred significant cleaning fees for time and resources to remedy the vehicle to its original condition. Please do not smoke in the vehicle! Mahalo
